IT'S A BOOK! The Bi-Coastal GENDER book Shower!
Thursday, May 15, 2014
6:30 – 8:30 PM

Join us in-person for an evening of games, giveaways, activities, coloring book pages, Q&A with the creators, art, movies, and community magic celebrating the birth of the GENDER book.

What is the GENDER book?

The GENDER book is a colorful visual primer on the world of gender. It's a 90-page, fully-illustrated, educational book that teaches – and unteaches - some of the basics of gender theory in a way that is super fun, non-judgy, and full of COLOR. It's a handsome hardback book that you can sit and read in one sitting.

Use this book as a resource for therapists and other health professionals, as well as in classrooms and organizations. Use this book to help you or someone you know come out to family and friends. This book can change the world for gender minorities, one opened mind at a time.

Click here to join the event on Facebook.

ICESHELF Smile Tour 2014

Tuesday, May 27, 2014
12-5 PM (One Day Only!)

A Mobile Gallery Tour featuring
ICEPOP
An Exhibition by SCUBA

In the spirit of polar discovery, ICESHELF is a mobile gallery, performance, and work/live space inspired by the contemporary research stations of Antarctica. Biodiesel compatible and partially powered by solar panels, the truck uses renewable energy and is a testament to our rapidly changing times. Like an ice shelf or an iceberg, the truck can rest or drift.

ICEPOP initiates a dialogue with 100 years of humankind's exploration of the South Pole. The South Pole has long been a place of harrowing curiosity, natural wonder, scientific discovery, and geographic diversity in the minds of scientists, artists, and the general populace.

ICEPOP was launched by the Center for Contemporary Arts Santa Fe in January 2014. SCUBA is Sandra Wang and Crockett Bodelson, collaborative artists from Santa Fe, New Mexico.
