Paolo Piscitelli More Work More Space

Paolo Piscitelli focuses on the sculptural process and its evolution into a site-specific installation for the John M. O’Quinn Gallery. Piscitelli’s sculptures are often in a perpetual state of construction and destruction in which forms of metamorphosis and variations occur, using elements such as adhesive tape, clay, steam, foam, and wood. For More Work More Space, Piscitelli will create a wooden sculptural installation (Sculpture Play) and will premiere the video Labor #1, the first of an ongoing series of sculptural video. Started in 2007 this series shows the intimate geometry created by the artist’s hands, the clay and the camera that refer to the elemental practice of the sculptural act.
