The Big Show
The Big Show has been an important venue for emerging and under-represented Houston area artists since its conception in 1984. The Big Show was formerly the East End Show, sponsored by the East End Progress Association at Lawndale’s original location. The exhibition is open to any artists living within 100 miles of Houston and willing to physically bring their work to the galleries for jurying.
The call for entries drew in over 700 submissions by 302 artists. The art works were juried on-site at The Art Car Museum. The selected exhibition consists of 73 art works by the following artists:
Brooke Akkerman, Dran Alessi, Dawolu Jabari Anderson, Cara Barer, Angela Beloian, William Betts, Alberto Bonomi and Karen Justice, R. L.
