The Future Through the Eyes of a Child

July 31, 1999 – September 3, 1999

A unique collaboration with Johnson Space Center generated an exhibition of artwork from students at area elementary schools. Students took part in a tour of Johnson Space Center and heard an inspirational talk about space exploration, technology, and the future from an astronaut. The resulting artworks, made in their classrooms, visualized the children’s interpretations of how technology and space exploration will impact their future careers, families and lifestyles in 25 years.
