Become a Friend of Lawndale and you can borrow artwork from Lawndale’s Lending Library!

Launched in December 2018, the Lawndale Lending Library is an arts library that builds relationships between art lovers and contemporary artists in the Houston and Gulf Coast region. Friends of Lawndale can borrow artwork for select periods throughout the year. Annually, Lawndale hosts a silent auction where artwork from the collection can be purchased.

New in 2024 - Art is Bond Collaboration!

In 2024 we launched a new collaboration with ART IS BOND, a contemporary art gallery and project space located in the heart of Houston, Texas. With similar missions to amplify the voices of talented artists from all walks of life, Lawndale is excited to feature a selection of artworks curated by ART IS BOND founder and gallery director Janice Bond as part of the Lending Library.
