Lawndale invites you to our ASP Open Studios in participation with MFAH’s Black Art Houston. Visit the studios and mingle with two of our three the 2023/2024 ASP artists, including Tay Butler and Sol Diaz.
Black Art Houston is a celebration of contemporary Black art throughout the city. Join in an immersive experience featuring exhibitions, open studios, and cultural events across Houston. Discover new perspectives, connect with artists, and explore Houston’s rich tapestry of artistic expression. Presented by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, this citywide initiative coincides with the opening of the MFAH exhibition Multiplicity: Blackness in Contemporary American Collage
About the Artist Studio Program
The nine-month Artist Studio Program supports three artists annually with an honorarium, project grant, studio space, and curatorial support, culminating with an exhibition of the artists’ new works.
