Concert Series with Robert Hodge with Odell Gray

Next in the lineup at Leroy’s is Odell Gray, a Houston-based blues, jazz, and pop singer. Originally hailing from Dallas, Gray launched his music career in 1976 when he started his own group, the Free & Easy Band, with whom he toured across Texas for five years. Upon moving to Houston, Gray established himself as a Houston blues staple through his performances with the likes of local legend A.J. Murphy. In 1999, Gray joined the Superior Band, releasing his first CD with the band Voodoo Love in 2002. Since joining the band, Gray has collaborated and performed with numerous other big name Houston jazz and blues figures, including fellow Leroy’s alumna Miss Trudy Lynn. Come by Lawndale on July 19th to see Odell Gray perform live at Leroy’s as a part of Robert Hodge’s Concert Series!
