Family Day Summer 2019

Lawndale invites you to our summer Family Day on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 12 – 2 PM for an afternoon of free hands-on art activities. We welcome all to get inspired by our summer exhibitions while exploring an array of art supplies to create your own one-of-a-kind artwork!
Lawndale’s summer exhibitions include the work of our 2018/19 Artist Studio Program participants Julia Barbosa Landois, Robert Hodge, and John Pluecker; Preetika Rajgariah; Jonathan Molina-Garcia; and Michael Bhichitkul. Lawndale’s summer exhibitions are on view from Saturday, June 22 to Sunday, August 18, 2019.
Continue the fun! Contemporary Arts Museum Houston (CAMH) will also be hosting midday fun with their Community Celebration from 11 AM – 2 PM, inviting the community to explore Stonewall 50 and celebrate Pride Houston. Community Celebration fun includes hands-on activities inspired by Stonewall 50 artists, Rothko Chapel Contemplation and Action Cards, a taco, and a DJ set by Juliana Huxtable.
