The Big Show 2021 Preview Party

Join this year’s participating artists and juror Cecilia Fajardo-Hill for a celebration of The Big Show, an ambitious annual exhibition of new work by artists practicing within a 100-mile radius of Lawndale. The Big Show 2021 is juried by independent curator Cecilia Fajardo-Hill.
Tickets include access to the beer, wine, and on-site food trucks served in the Mary E. Bawden Sculpture Garden. All funds raised support The Big Show 2021.
The Big Show 2021 Preview Party has two time slots: 5 – 7 PM and 7 – 9 PM. We welcome you to support The Big Show 2021 by purchasing tickets for a time slot below.

Fajardo-Hill is a British/Venezuelan art historian and curator in modern and contemporary art, currently based in Southern California. Fajardo-Hill has a PhD in Art History from the University of Essex, England, and an MA in 20th Century Art History from the Courtauld Institute of Art, London, England.
Fajardo-Hill was co-curator of Radical Women: Latin American Art 1960-1985, Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, 2017, and is the co-curator of the upcoming XicanXperimental, organized by the American Federation of Arts, 2022. She is Visiting Scholar at the Chicano Studies Research Center de UCLA, Los Angeles. In 2020 she received the Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant and will be a Clark Fellow in residence at the Clark Art Institute, Williamstown in fall of 2021.
