Walkthrough with the Artists Join Roslyn M. Dupré, Jean Shon, and Ariel Wood for a tour of their exhibits
Join us for a walkthrough of three solo exhibitions at Lawndale with the artists Roslyn M. Dupré, Jean Shon, and Ariel Wood.
The tours will begin in the John M. O’Quinn Gallery with the exhibit rest, raze, cullect by Ariel Wood. This exhibit brings together three bodies of work, interconnected, and interrelated, yet each inspired by a particular infrastructural situ.
Then we will experience Roslyn M. Dupré’s exhibit The daily devotional in Lawndale’s stairwell. This is the latest installment of Dupré’s ongoing experimentation with fiber technique, language, and ritual.
Finally we end the tours with in a word by Jean Shon in the Cecily E. Horton Gallery. This exhibit explores traces of loss through the re-generation of ephemera from Shon’s family archive.
