Interested in Lawndale’s Artist Studio Program? Lawndale will host an information session followed by Q&A on Wednesday, February 5th at 6 PM in John M. O’Quinn Gallery. During this event, we will share more about this program and answer any questions about the process.

About the Artist Studio Program
Lawndale’s Artist Studio Program provides artists with a monthly stipend and 24-hour access to an onsite private studio. This program is open to Houston and Gulf Coast-based artists of diverse backgrounds and experiences whose artistic practice would benefit from the support we offer. Ideal candidates are at transitional moments in their career, such as shifting to a new body of work or a different discipline. 

This program is open to artists working with all visual arts media, performance, music, sound art, and writing practices. Applicants must be 18 years or older and not enrolled in any degree program. Former Artist Studio Program participants are not eligible.

Application Deadline & Fees

The call opens Friday, January 31, 2025. Applications are due via Submittable on Friday, March 7, 2025 (11:59 PM CST). There is no fee to apply.
