About the Event
Please join Artadia and Lawndale for a festive evening, Saturday, June 1st from 5 – 7 PM to celebrate the 2019 Houston Artadia Fellows. Learn about the work of the five artists selected for the 2019 Houston Artadia Fellowship:
Abdul Basit, Eduardo Herrera, Lanre Buraimoh, Sanya Wafeq, and Karen Navarro.⠀
Each fellow received a $2,500 unrestricted honorarium, an introduction to an artist mentor, chosen by Artadia from its pool of Houston-based Artadia Awardees, and participated in a series of studio and exhibition visits and various discussions as an introduction to the Houston arts community.
Join us to meet each finalist and learn about how they are using art to amplify their voices and the voices of their communities across Houston.
