Jim Nolan’s off-hand and irreverent work combines the aesthetics of working class labor and underground music culture with the language of minimalism. Nolan lives and works in Houston, TX. He received a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and a MFA from Massachusetts College of Art. Nolan has exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY; Sara Meltzer Gallery, NY; Deep Space NYC, NY; and has had solo shows at the Soap Factory, Minneapolis, MN; MN.ArtMoving; Brooklyn, NY; and Art Palace Gallery, Houston, TX.
